Prym travel sewing kit – a sewing set for repairs on the go

The Prym travel sewing kit (art. no. 651255) is a compact sewing set for small repairs on the go, such as a button that has come off or a seam that has split. The case holds small scissors, three needles, buttons in various sizes, sew-on snap fasteners, a needle threader, three safety pins, three pins and thread in four colours.

The base is made of white plastic and the lid of transparent plastic, so you can see the contents at a glance. The secure closure keeps everything together in the case. At 54 × 11 × 75 mm, it fits easily into small hand luggage.

Using the kit on the go

To sew on a button that has come off, thread the needle first: push the wire loop of the needle threader through the eye of the needle, pass the thread through the loop and pull both back. Sew the button on with a few firm stitches. For a hem or an open seam, pin the fabric in place first with the pins. For a quick emergency fix, for example when there is no time to sew, the safety pins will help. The sew-on snap fasteners replace broken fastenings on clothing.
