Prym Tatting Shuttle 6.5 cm – shuttle for occhi lace

You need the Prym tatting shuttle (art. no. 611744) for the knotting technique occhi, also known as tatting or frivolité. You wind the thread onto the shuttle and use it to knot the eye-shaped elements of occhi lace. With this technique you can make coasters, tablecloths or lace appliqués for garments, for example.

The shuttle is 65 mm long and made of 100 % plastic. It comes as 1 piece on a card, in assorted colours. You cannot choose which colour you receive.

Choosing and using the shuttle

This classic shuttle has neither a crochet hook nor an integrated bobbin. If you are looking for a model with a crochet hook and bobbin, that is a different item. Wind the thread on evenly and do not overfill the shuttle, so that it passes freely through the loops as you work. If you are a beginner, it is worth making a small tension swatch with smooth thread first.
