Prym Maus tailor's chalk wheel – for marking fabric

The Maus chalk wheel from the prym.ergonomics series by Prym marks cutting lines, darts and positions freehand on all fabrics. A fine toothed wheel at the tip draws a clearly visible, fine chalk line. You brush it out after sewing or wash it out.

The housing is ergonomically shaped and sits comfortably in the hand, so you can work through longer cutting and marking jobs without cramping up. A viewing window shows you at any time how much chalk is left in the cartridge. A grippy cap closes the wheel. The chalk wheel won the Red Dot Design Award in 2010. One chalk cartridge in white is included.

How to mark with the chalk wheel

Place the toothed wheel lightly on the fabric and guide the wheel along the ruler or the pattern template. The wheel releases the chalk in a fine line. You do not need to press hard. Test the chalk wheel on a scrap of fabric before using it for the first time, especially on delicate or dark fabrics. That way you can see how clearly the line shows and how it can be removed again.

White or yellow chalk

The chalk cartridges are available separately in white and yellow. White shows up well on dark fabrics, while yellow stands out more clearly on light fabrics.
