Using the yarn holder

Place the yarn holder on a smooth, level surface beside you, for example on the table or on the floor next to your chair. Slide the ball onto the spindle and pull out the end of the yarn. As you knit or crochet, the holder turns and the ball unwinds instead of hopping about. Pull the yarn evenly and avoid tugging at it, so that the rotation does not build up.
