Elephant Rattle Crochet Kit – a handmade gift to crochet

With the Elephant Rattle crochet kit you make a little elephant with a rattle insert, measuring approx. 12 cm. It makes a handmade gift, for a new baby for example. The design is by Christel Krukkert.

The kit contains all the materials except the crochet hook: cotton yarn in two shades of pink, black yarn for the eyes, a wooden ring, the rattle insert, toy stuffing and the instructions in German. There is nothing to hunt down, so you can start straight away.

Crocheting the elephant

You crochet with a 2.5 mm crochet hook, which is not included. The instructions are in German and take you through the project. Use the cotton yarn to crochet the body and details in light pink and pink; the black yarn is for the eyes. Crochet firmly enough that the stuffing does not show through the stitches. Insert the rattle insert and the stuffing as described in the instructions before closing the figure.

What is in the kit

The wooden ring has a diameter of 70 mm and is made of untreated beech. It is part of the rattle and gives the elephant a firm part to hold on to. The yarn and accessories are matched to the project, so all you need is the right crochet hook.
