Lang Yarns MOHAIR LUXE LAMÉ is a fine novelty yarn made from superkid mohair and silk with a lamé thread worked in. You can knit shawls, dressy jumpers or accessories with a subtle shimmer. The composition is 73% mohair (superkid), 18% silk and 9% polyester.

Each ball weighs 25 g and has a length of approx. 175 m, which works out at around 700 m per 100 g. The yarn is therefore very light, and you can knit airy pieces that don't feel heavy. Choose your colour from the options.

What the yarn is suited to

Mohair and silk give a soft handle and a light feel when worn, while the lamé thread adds fine highlights of shine. With needles of 3–3.5 mm you get an open, airy fabric that suits shawls, jumpers and accessories with a glitter effect. Because each ball is approx. 175 m, larger pieces will take several balls. Work out the quantity from the yarn length given in your pattern.

Knitting and care

Mohair yarn is difficult to unpick. Knit calmly and evenly, and try a small tension swatch first. Buy the quantity for a project in one dye lot if possible, so that the shade stays uniform. Wash the yarn by hand.
