Featherlight ITO Sensai Shawl

ITO Sensai Shawl – light & luxurious

Fine Japanese craftsmanship in mohair & silk

This elegant ITO Sensai shawl (60% mohair, 40% silk) weighs just 120–130 g, offering a warm yet airy feel with a subtle silky sheen. Its generous size of approx. 180 × 68 cm makes it perfect as a classic scarf or an elegant shoulder wrap.

The shawl is crafted in a small Japanese knitting workshop using a fine-gauge machine, resulting in an exceptionally even and delicate stitch structure that is nearly impossible to achieve by hand. The mohair-silk blend adds softness, warmth and a luxurious drape.

If you prefer to create a similar piece yourself, the ITO Osaka pattern with 5 balls of ITO Sensai is a great option. When knitted with 4.0 mm needles, the texture becomes slightly more open while staying wonderfully lightweight.
