Macramé Book "Makramee einfach schön" by Inge Walz – 20 Home Projects

Makramee einfach schön – 20 macramé home decor projects to knot yourself

"Makramee einfach schön" by Inge Walz is a hardback macramé book with 20 projects for your home. It is published by TOPP (frechverlag) and is aimed at anyone who would like to make their own home decor from knotted yarn. The book is written in German.

At the start, the knots are explained visually with pictograms. The individual projects are described with plenty of photos and instructions. They include plant hangers, a wall hanging, a table runner and a lantern.

Who is the book for?

The book is an introduction to macramé: you learn the knots from the pictograms and then work your way through the projects. As every project is explained with plenty of photos, you can follow the construction step by step. The 20 projects cover a range of home decor ideas, from hanging pieces to table decorations.

Starting your first project

Practise the basic knots on a short piece of yarn before you begin a project. That way you can see how tightly to pull the knots so that they look even. Which yarn and which other supplies you need depends on the project you choose. The materials are not included in the book.
