LAMY abc learner pencil with 1.4 mm lead for beginners

LAMY abc learner pencil – twist-action pencil with 1.4 mm lead for beginner writers

The LAMY abc learner pencil is a pencil with a thick 1.4 mm lead for children who are learning to write. You extend and retract the lead with a twist mechanism, so there is no need to sharpen it. That is practical for everyday school use and for starting in the first year. Choose your colour from the options.

The thick lead gives clear, easy-to-read lines and breaks less easily than a thin lead. The rubberised grip section is non-slip. The pencil suits left- and right-handers and has neither a clip nor an eraser, so it stays simple and easy to hold.

Using the twist mechanism

You turn the cube at the end of the pencil and the lead comes out bit by bit. To retract it, turn in the opposite direction. Let the lead stick out only as far as you need for writing. A short lead is more stable and breaks less often.

Who is the pencil for?

The abc is designed for beginner writers, for example for the first letters and numbers. The 1.4 mm lead stays easy to control even with the slightly firmer pressure that beginners often apply. If you need a refill, insert a new lead; the LAMY M 44 fits.
