LAMY st tri pen – two-colour ballpoint and propelling pencil in one pen

The LAMY st tri pen is a slim multi-system pen that combines two ballpoint refills and a propelling pencil in a single barrel. You choose the writing system with the twist mechanism. That way you have notes, corrections and sketches in one pen, without switching between several writing instruments.

The barrel is made of stainless steel with a matt black lacquer finish. The design is by Gerd A. Müller. At 10 × 10 × 144 mm and 28 g, the pen is compact. The solid, spring-loaded clip holds it securely in a pocket or on a notebook. Under the removable push button there is an eraser (LAMY Z 15 eraser tip) for pencil corrections.

Which system for what

The ballpoint refills are suited to notes and signatures, with the red refill for comments and highlights. The propelling pencil with a 0.5 mm HB lead is intended for fine lines, sketches and entries you may want to change later. To erase, pull off the push button and use the eraser underneath.

Refills and replacements

The refills are standard LAMY types: M 21 for the ballpoint side and M 41 (0.5 mm) for the propelling pencil. When you need more, buy exactly these types. The eraser tip is designated Z 15.
