Eberhard Faber EFA Color empty paint box for 8 paint pans, Ø 44 mm

EFA Color empty paint box – to fill yourself and use as a mixing palette

The empty paint box from Eberhard Faber (art. no. 577000) is a plastic paint box that you fill yourself. It has room for 8 paint pans with a diameter of 44 mm. This way you put together your own paint box with the colours of your choice.

The white palette has eight round wells and a central channel for mixing. According to the manufacturer, you can also use the empty box as a mixing palette. The white background makes it easy to judge the shades as you mix.

Using the empty paint box

Place the Ø 44 mm paint pans in the eight wells. Matching EFA Color paint pans are available individually, so you choose the shades yourself and can replace single colours. To paint, moisten the pans with a wet brush. For mixes, use the channel in the middle so that the colours in the wells stay clean. Without pans, the box works as a mixing palette, for example for colours from the tube.

Cleaning

According to the manufacturer, with EFA Color tempera paints everything that comes into contact with the paints can be cleaned quickly with soap and water. It is best to rinse the palette straight after mixing, before paint residues dry on.
