POSCA set of 40 acrylic paint markers – opaque colour in four nib sizes
The POSCA set of 40 acrylic paint markers contains 40 water-based marker pens in assorted colours and four nib sizes, packed in a soft case with a zip. You can paint, draw and write on paper, wood, stone and fabric. The paint is highly pigmented and opaque, so light designs on a dark background work as well.
The nibs are washable, some are reversible, and they are replaceable. With the four line widths you can cover fine outlines and larger areas in one set, and you can simply take the soft case with you to paint on the go.
Which nib for which purpose?
The sizes in the set are clearly graded, so you can choose by design rather than by chance:
- PC-1MC (approx. 0.7 mm): fine lines, small lettering and details
- PC-3M (approx. 0.9–1.3 mm): outlines, lettering and patterns
- PC-5M (approx. 1.8–2.5 mm): bold lines and smaller areas
- PC-8K (approx. 8 mm): large areas and broad strokes
Which surfaces does the paint stay on?
The paint adheres permanently to wood, stone, fabric and paper. On glass, metal and plastic, however, it can be wiped off again. There it is better suited to lettering and decorations that do not need to last. Test adhesion on smooth surfaces beforehand on an inconspicuous spot.
Shake the markers well before first use and press the nib down on a sheet of paper until the paint reaches the tip. Let the paint dry before you put a second colour over it, so that nothing runs.
