Eberhard Faber Metallic Marker Set of 2 – Gold and Silver for Lettering and Fine Lines

The Eberhard Faber set contains two metallic marker pens, one in gold and one in silver. You can write and draw with a metallic shine on light, dark and coloured paper, as well as on smooth surfaces such as glass, porcelain and plastic. The ink is water-based.

The fine tip, Ø 0.8 mm, is for thin lines and writing. The brush tip, Ø 1–10 mm, is intended for lettering: depending on how you press and guide the pen, you can switch between narrow hairlines and broad swashes. Gold and silver in the set give you two metallic shades for cards, labels and decoration.

Working with the Metallic Markers

Metallic shades stand out particularly well on dark paper and card, because the background does not show through. For lettering, guide the brush tip with varying pressure: press harder when drawing the line downwards, and only lightly on upstrokes. Use the fine tip for outlines, details and small writing. Let the colour dry before writing over it, otherwise it will smudge.

On glass, porcelain and plastic

On smooth surfaces the ink is initially only smudge-proof and splash-proof. It becomes waterproof after fixing in the oven at 160 °C. Even then it is not dishwasher safe. It is best to test adhesion beforehand on an inconspicuous area or a test piece.
