The POSCA replacement nibs for the PC-8K paint marker are intended for pens whose nib is worn, frayed or dirty from changing colours. The bag contains 2 chisel nibs, 8 mm wide. You can swap them without throwing the marker away.

According to the manufacturer, the nib can be removed and rinsed with water before you replace it. The replacement nibs are made in Japan.

Changing the nib

Changing the nib takes only a few steps. It is best to work over a mat so that no paint gets onto the table.

• Pull the old nib out of the marker, using tweezers or a paper towel if needed.
• Insert the new nib.
• Pump the marker several times so that the paint flows back to the tip.
• You can rinse the removed nib with water if you want to use it again.

When is it worth replacing the nib?

A chisel nib wears down over time when used on rough surfaces such as canvas, wood or stone. If the edges become untidy or the lines uneven, a new nib is often easier than buying a new marker. With 2 nibs in the bag, you have a spare to hand straight away.
