According to uni-ball, the "uni Super Ink" is light-resistant, water-resistant and fraud-resistant. That matters for signatures on documents that need to stay legible for a long time. The rubberised grip zone sits comfortably in the hand when writing.
What the gel pen is suited to
The 1.0 mm ball leaves a clearly visible line, with a line width of approx. 0.6 mm. That suits signatures, dedications and headings that should stand out from the body text. For very fine details or small handwriting, a narrower tip is the better choice. This gel pen is a capped model: put the cap back on after writing so that the tip does not dry out.
Refill rather than throw away
When the ink runs out, you replace the refill with a UMR-10. This means you can keep using the barrel with its rubber grip.
