Prym doll needles – long needles for dolls and soft toys

The Prym doll needles (art. no. 131140) are three extra-long hand sewing needles for dolls, soft toys and padded projects. The set contains three lengths: 70, 80 and 127 mm. With the longest needle you can sew right through thick stuffing.

The needles are made of hardened steel. Their surface is evenly polished and has a pore-free coating, so they glide easily through fabric and toy stuffing. The eye is punched without burrs, which is gentle on the thread when threading and sewing.

Which length for which job?

You need the 127 mm needle when you have to sew through a stuffed body, for example to attach arms, legs or a head. The 70 and 80 mm needles are easier to handle for smaller soft toys, doll clothes and repairs on lightly stuffed areas. With three lengths in the set, you do not have to buy a new needle for every project.

Practical tip

Work with short stitches and pull the thread through evenly. This makes the seam firm without the fabric puckering. Long needles can bend easily in thick stuffing, so push the needle in straight and pull it out again in the direction of the stitch.
