Prym eyelets with washers 5 mm – no-sew, rustproof brass

Prym eyelets with washers (art. no. 542371) are no-sew eyelets made of rustproof brass with a dark, burnished finish. You can use them for lacing, as a decorative feature on clothing, for home decor or for crafts. The pack contains 40 eyelets with washers and a fitting tool.

The eyelets have a diameter of 5 mm. The brass does not rust, so the eyelets are also suitable for fabrics that you want to wash or wipe clean later.

Fitting the eyelets

Mark the position and prepare a suitable hole in the fabric at that point. The eyelet goes through the fabric from the front, and the washer goes on the back. Then you join the two parts. For the 5 mm size, you can do this with a hammer and the tool supplied, with the Prym Vario pliers or with the tripod. Reinforce thin or stretchy fabrics beforehand with interfacing so that they do not tear out around the eyelet.

Fitting them firmly enough

The eyelet should sit so firmly that it can no longer be turned. Only then will it not come loose when the fabric is pulled taut, for example with lacing. It is best to test on a scrap of fabric before working on the actual piece.
