Prym Sew-On Press Studs 21 mm – Large Brass Fasteners for Sturdy Fabrics

Prym sew-on press studs with a diameter of 21 mm are fasteners for heavier fabrics and larger projects such as jackets, coats or bags. Each press stud consists of a socket part and a ball part in rustproof brass in a silver colour.

The ball part has a rolled edge, which protects the fabric from sharp edges. Four holes in each part allow you to sew them on evenly and neatly. The press studs are washable up to 60 °C.

How to sew on the press studs

Mark the position of the ball part and the socket part on the two overlapping sides of the fabric and pin them in place. Then sew each part on with strong thread: pass the thread through each of the four holes several times and fasten it off securely at the end. For thick fabric, use a thread that suits the material and do not sew too loosely, so that the press stud does not wobble later.

Which size to choose

At 21 mm, these press studs are among the larger ones in the Prym range. They suit jackets, coats and bags. For lighter fabrics and finer fastenings, the range includes smaller sizes, as well as versions in black.
