The Rayher wooden suitcase with antique fittings is an untreated wooden blank for painting, covering and decorating. Once finished, it can be used to store keepsakes, letters, jewellery or craft supplies.

The case measures 29.5 × 20.5 × 14 cm on the outside and has a hinged lid with rounded corners. A metal snap catch with spring keeps it closed, and the metal handle with antique fittings makes it portable. Inside, the base is 8 cm deep and the lid 4 cm, so you can easily judge how much it will hold. The surface is smooth with an even grain, the wood is approx. 8 mm thick and, according to Rayher, FSC-certified.

Decorating the case

According to Rayher, the case can be covered using decoupage, DecoMaché paper or fabric. You can also paint it, for example in a shabby chic style, or decorate it with a wood-burning tool. Sand the untreated wood lightly before painting and mask the catch and handle so that no paint gets on the metal.

This version measures 29.5 × 20.5 × 14 cm. Rayher also offers the model in a smaller size of 24.5 × 16.5 × 11.5 cm. Choose the larger one if you want to store photos, letters or wider craft supplies.
