Wooden Easter garland – 17 shapes to string up, hang and paint
The Rayher wooden Easter garland is a set of 17 wooden hangers with 2.5 m of hemp cord for Easter decorations. You can thread the shapes onto the cord as a garland or use them singly, for example as gift tags. The set includes bunny eggs, female rabbits, eggs with flowers, carrots and flowers. The hangers are made of light-coloured wood with dark brown edges and have holes for hanging. Some of the shapes have a design laser-engraved on the front. According to Rayher, the wood is FSC-certified (FSC Mix Credit).
Making the garland
Thread the hemp cord through the holes in the hangers, and lay out the order on the table first. That way you can see how the bunnies, eggs and carrots work together. With a knot before and after each hanger, the shapes stay in place and do not slide together. The 2.5 m length of cord helps with planning: it is enough for a longer garland, but you can also string up only some of the shapes and use the rest singly.
Painting and decorating
According to Rayher, the light-coloured wood is very easy to paint. If you want to leave a laser-engraved design visible, apply the paint thinly as a glaze so that the engraving is not covered up. The dark edges give each hanger an outline, even if you only colour parts of the surface.
