The Proxxon screwdriver set 23104 is a 54-piece set for fastening work, with a bendable ratchet screwdriver, bits, sockets and a magnetic holder. All parts are sorted in a powder-coated steel case, so you can find the right profile quickly.

The handle of the ratchet screwdriver locks at the push of a button in both the straight and the angled position. Angled, it reaches screws where a straight screwdriver has no room. You change the direction of rotation with the selector ring; in the centre position the ratchet is off. The Autolock system holds the inserted bit in place automatically.

Working with the bendable ratchet

Insert the right bit into the ratchet screwdriver; the Autolock system holds it in place. Choose the direction of rotation on the selector ring: clockwise to drive screws in, anticlockwise to undo them. Then place the screwdriver on the screw and turn. Thanks to the ratchet action, you do not have to lift off and regrip. In tight spots, press the button and angle the handle. The magnetic holder is intended for use with a drill or electric screwdriver.

Which bit fits?

The set covers slotted, Phillips PH and Pozidriv PZ, Torx (TX) and hex (HX). Take care not to mix up PH and PZ: a PH bit in a PZ screw sits loosely and the recess can strip. The bit must always sit fully in the screw head before you apply force. The Torx bits with a hole in the tip also fit Torx screws with a centre pin in the recess. The long bits reach screws that sit deeper in the workpiece.
