The Graine Créative wax seal burner with wax seal spoon (art. no. 518407) melts sealing wax for letter seals. You place a tealight in the small burner, rest the spoon with the wax on top, then pour the melted wax from the spoon onto paper or an envelope. To make the impression, you will also need a seal stamp.

The set is suitable for letters, invitations, gift wrapping and craft projects. The spoon rests on the burner while the wax melts, so your hands are free until the wax is liquid.

How to pour a wax seal

Pour the wax onto a flat, heat-resistant surface or directly onto the paper. Fill the spoon only far enough that nothing overflows, and let the wax melt completely before you pour it.

• Place a tealight in the burner and light it
• Put the sealing wax in the spoon and rest it on the burner
• Wait until the wax is liquid, then carefully pour it onto paper or an envelope
• Let the wax set briefly, press with the seal stamp and leave to cool

A common mistake when stamping

If you press the stamp into very runny wax, it spreads sideways and the design becomes blurred. Wait a moment until the pool of wax has started to set, then press the stamp down evenly.
