Stafil Pendulum Clock Movement 16 mm – Complete Kit for Your Own Pendulum Clock

The Stafil 16 mm pendulum clock movement is a complete kit for building your own pendulum wall clock or repairing a faulty one. The kit contains a quartz movement, a pair of hands, a dial with a diameter of 60 mm and the pendulum. You therefore don't have to hunt for individual parts that need to fit together.

The shaft length of 16 mm determines how thick your clock panel can be: the kit is designed for panels up to a maximum of 8 mm thick. Whether you use wood, plastic or another material is up to you. The movement runs quietly, and the pendulum gives the clock its classic motion.

Assembling the clock

The dial, with a diameter of 60 mm, is rather small, so the clock suits compact wall clocks and decorative projects. To fit it, proceed as follows:

• Drill the shaft hole in the centre of the panel and check that the panel is no thicker than 8 mm, otherwise the shaft will not reach through.
• Insert the movement from the back and secure it to the panel.
• Push on the hour hand and minute hand so that both sit exactly on top of each other at 12 o'clock, and press them on firmly.
• Insert the battery and set the time using the setting wheel on the back of the movement, not by forcing the hands.
• Attach the pendulum and hang the clock vertically so that it can swing freely.

Who is the kit for?

The kit suits you if you want to put your own clock design into practice, for example using a wooden disc, a board or a painted blank. It is also suitable for replacing a faulty pendulum movement, provided your clock allows for the shaft length and panel thickness. Measure the thickness of your panel beforehand.
