Rayher Renaissance Glass Wax Beads, Large Hole – 32 Beads in Blue Mix

The Renaissance large-hole wax-coated glass beads from Rayher in blue mix are 10 mm beads for necklaces, bracelets and jewellery pendants. The tin contains 32 beads. They have 16 coats of lacquer and are lightfast, sweat-proof and resistant to perfume, so they keep their appearance even when worn every day.

The hole is 2.0 mm. Thicker threads, cords or ribbons that will not fit through a fine hole can therefore be passed through the bead. The beads belong to a series with further colours in the same size.

Threading onto ribbon or cord

With a 2.0 mm hole, your material should be slightly thinner than 2 mm so that it can be threaded through the bead easily. Check the thickness before you combine beads and ribbon. On a necklace with knots between the beads, the beads sit firmly and do not slip. A ribbon end without fraying makes threading easier.

Care

Hand wash the finished necklace at 30 °C. According to Rayher, the lacquer is sweat-proof and resistant to perfume, but it is still worth storing jewellery dry after wearing it.
