UHU LOW MELT glue sticks – low-temperature hot glue for heat-sensitive materials

UHU LOW MELT glue sticks are oval, transparent glue sticks for low-temperature UHU glue guns. You apply them at 110 °C, so you can also bond heat-sensitive materials such as polystyrene and soft PVC, which easily warp or melt with standard hot glue. The adhesive is solvent-free, transparent and elastic, so the bonded joints stay discreet.

The pack contains 15 sticks, each 175 mm long, approx. 200 g in total. That is enough for plenty of craft projects, decorations, model making and small repairs.

Which glue gun fits?

The sticks are designed for the UHU Creative and Creative XL glue guns and the earlier LT 110 and LT 110 XL models. Their oval shape prevents you from inserting them into a standard hot glue gun by mistake. Conversely, only these sticks belong in low-melt guns. Round hot-melt sticks (Ø 11 mm, melting temperature approx. 200 °C) are a different product and do not fit.

Use and materials

The adhesive bonds to metal, wood, glass, ceramic, leather, textiles and many plastics. Thanks to the low temperature, you can also bond polystyrene and soft PVC.

• Insert the stick into the gun and let the gun heat up fully.
• Apply the adhesive sparingly to one of the two surfaces.
• Join the parts quickly and press them together briefly until the adhesive has cooled.
• Remove strings and residue only after it has cooled.

Good to know

A test piece shows you beforehand how your material reacts to the bond. This applies especially if the item will later get warm or be subject to heavy strain.
