The Ma Déco "Bohème" macramé kit from Graine Créative contains everything you need to knot a wall hanging in ecru: 70 m of recycled cotton yarn, three wooden beads, a 30 cm wooden dowel and illustrated instructions. The finished piece measures approx. 30 × 45 cm (width × height). The kit is suitable for beginners.

As the yarn, beads and hanging dowel are already included, you don't need to gather any materials. The three wooden beads have diameters of 25, 18 and 12 mm, so you can work them into the pattern in three sizes. The wall hanging is in a bohemian style, and the natural white cotton goes well with light and earthy colour schemes.

Working with the kit

Read the instructions all the way through first and have scissors and a tape measure ready. Macramé consists of a few basic knots that are repeated. You knot the strands of yarn onto the wooden dowel, which later also serves for hanging. While you work, fasten the dowel to a hook, for example, so that both hands are free. Pull each knot tight evenly so that the pattern ends up regular. Cut the strands only to the lengths given in the instructions: strands cut too short cannot be lengthened again.

Choosing the right kit

This kit with a wooden dowel and 70 m of yarn is a different kit from the Graine Créative Ma Déco set with a bamboo ring, which contains less yarn. When buying, look for the "Bohème" name addition and the dimensions of approx. 30 × 45 cm.
