Städter Liquid Food Colouring Violet – dosed drop by drop

Städter liquid food colouring in violet colours cake batter, biscuit dough, creams, whipped cream, marzipan and drinks. It is highly concentrated, water-soluble and neutral in taste, and according to the manufacturer it complies with food law requirements. Because you add it drop by drop, you control the intensity of the colour: a few drops for a delicate shade, a few more for a stronger colour.

The bottle contains 10 ml. The food colouring is not suitable for chocolate. Städter liquid food colourings are available in other colours. Violet is a ready-mixed shade, so you do not have to mix it yourself from blue and red.

How to dose the food colouring

The manufacturer's quantities apply to a soft to delicate colouring. If you would like a more intense colour, add a few more drops gradually. Stir the colour in well each time before adding more, as the shade only becomes visible once it has been mixed in.

• approx. 4 drops per 125 ml clear liquid (water, sparkling wine or similar)
• approx. 8 drops per 125 ml cream, added before whipping
• approx. 15 drops per 125 g marzipan with approx. 60 g icing sugar

Good to know

The colouring is suitable for cakes, biscuits, creams, whipped cream and drinks. It is not suitable for chocolate. Store the bottle in a dark, cool and dry place so that the colour stays stable.
