Städter Embossed Meerkat Cookie Cutter – Stainless Steel for Dough, Fondant and Modelling Clay

The Städter embossed meerkat cookie cutter is a stainless steel cutter with a pre-embossed design. You can use it to cut meerkats from dough, fondant or marzipan, for example for biscuits, cake decorations or summer parties with animal themes. The cutter measures 10 cm, so the shapes are clearly visible.

You can also use it for crafting and modelling, for example with modelling clay, salt dough or Fimo. According to the manufacturer, Städter stainless steel cutters are rustproof, dishwasher safe and food-safe.

Cutting out the meerkat

Roll out the dough to an even thickness so that the shape is cut cleanly all the way through and the embossing is reproduced evenly. Press the cutter down firmly and vertically without twisting it, then lift it straight off again. If the dough sticks, dip the cutter briefly in flour first. For fondant and marzipan, it helps to work on a surface dusted with a little icing sugar or cornflour.

For crafting and modelling

With modelling clay, salt dough or Fimo you get evenly shaped meerkats that you can then paint or decorate. If you have used the cutter with modelling compound such as Fimo, do not use it for food afterwards.
