Städter round proving basket Ø 17 cm – rattan basket for 750 g bread dough

The Städter round rattan proving basket holds up to 750 g of bread dough. The dough rests and rises in it before baking, and takes on a round shape for classic loaves.

The basket has a diameter of approx. 17 cm and is approx. 7.5 cm high. It is made of rattan, a natural product, so shape and size may vary slightly. Instructions for use are included.

Using the proving basket

Flour the basket well before each use so that the dough does not stick to the rattan. Place the shaped dough in the basket with the seam facing up and let it rise, covered. Then turn it out onto a baking tray or baking stone and bake it there. To clean, brush out any flour and dough residue dry after use and leave the basket to dry thoroughly.

Which size?

This Ø 17 cm basket is designed for quantities of dough up to 750 g. For larger loaves, Städter also makes a round proving basket, Ø 23.5 cm, for 1,250 g of dough. Choose the size according to the amount of dough in your recipe.
