HobbyFun silicone mould for an oval dish – for casting resin, concrete and plaster

With the HobbyFun silicone mould you can cast oval dishes of approx. 21.5 × 8.5 × 4 cm, for example from casting resin, epoxy resin, craft concrete or plaster. The silicone is flexible, so you can release the hardened piece from the mould easily without release agent. The mould is reusable, so you can cast several identical dishes.

The finished dishes can be used as trays for jewellery, keys or small everyday items, and as decoration or a handmade gift.

Casting your dish

Rinse the mould with water before first use; you do not need an additional release agent such as oil. Before filling, stand the soft silicone mould on a flat, firm surface, such as a board, so that it does not warp and the dish turns out even. Then pour in the mixed casting compound and leave it to harden completely according to the manufacturer's instructions. To demould, gently pull the edge of the mould away from the dish and push the piece out from underneath.

Cleaning and note on use

After demoulding, clean the mould with water and a little washing-up liquid. Once you have used a mould for casting resin, plaster or concrete, do not use it for food again.
