Soap mould Fabrication à l'ancienne – square soaps from a flexible plastic mould

With the Graine Créative soap mould “Fabrication à l'ancienne”, you can make your own square soaps. The mould is made of flexible plastic, carries the lettering “Fabrication à l'ancienne” and produces soap bars of 58 × 58 mm. It suits home-made gift soaps that you can personalise with your choice of scent and colour.

As the plastic is soft, you release the cooled soap by gently flexing the mould. This protects fine edges and the lettering.

Making your soap

Stand the mould on a level, stable surface so that the soap sets evenly. Carefully pour in the melted soap base, coloured and scented as you wish. Leave it to set completely before releasing it. To demould, flex the mould gently and push the soap out from underneath. Do not pull on the edges, as they break off easily.

For other materials too

As well as soap, you can also fill the mould with modelling compound, casting powder or plaster. With modelling compound, a little talc on the base of the mould helps the piece to release well. Once you have used the mould for soap, plaster or casting compounds, do not use it for food afterwards.
