Rayher Square Mould – Reusable PET Mould for Craft Concrete and Raysin

The Rayher square mould is a transparent, reusable PET mould for square castings measuring 8.5 × 8.5 cm with a depth of 3.5 cm. According to Rayher, it is intended for casting with Kreativ-Beton or Raysin casting powder. You can also cast soap and wax in it.

The material is highly transparent and sturdy. This lets you see how the compound spreads as you pour, and you can remove the casting from the mould once it has hardened. The mould belongs to the Rayher modular mould system: the moulds are designed to match one another and can be combined.

Casting in the mould

Lightly oil the inside with cooking oil before pouring, so the hardened casting comes out more easily. Pour in the mixed compound and leave it to harden completely before removing it from the mould. If you place a second, smaller Rayher mould on top as an inner mould and weigh it down, a hollow forms in the casting.

Heat and food

The mould is heat-resistant up to approx. 60 °C. Only pour in wax or soap base once it has cooled sufficiently, so the PET does not warp. Once you have cast concrete, soap or wax in a mould, do not use it for food again.
