Rayher Grass Natural Sponge Set, Fine and Coarse Pores, 6–7.5 cm

Rayher Grass Natural Sponge Set – 3 Sponges for Dabbing and Spreading Paint

The Rayher Grass natural sponge set contains 3 different natural sponges, 6 to 7.5 cm in size. You can use them to apply, dab or spread paint. According to Rayher, the sponges have an attractive, even growth as well as fine and large pores. They are very absorbent and therefore soak up plenty of paint.

As the three sponges differ from one another, you have a range of pore sizes and shapes to hand. As well as for painting, you can also use them for cleaning.

Working with the natural sponge

Dampen the sponge and dip it lightly into the paint. You can also thin the paint with water. Then dab it on rather than brushing it. This creates soft backgrounds and colour gradients. Tone-on-tone colours give particularly attractive effects. Press excess paint off on the edge of the palette first, otherwise the prints will be patchy.

Choosing the size

At 6–7.5 cm, the sponges cover larger areas more quickly. For small motifs and details, the set is also available in the size 3.5–5.0 cm. Rinse the sponges with water after painting and let them dry before putting them away.
