YKK Jeans Zip 18 cm – Gold-Coloured Metal Teeth, Closed-End

The YKK trouser zip in colour 056 Light Blue with metal teeth is made for denim and can be sewn into trousers and bags. The gold-coloured chain is 5 mm wide and the tape is 30 mm wide. At 18 cm long, it suits fly openings that need a little more room. For shorter openings, the jeans zip is also available in 14 cm.

The zip is closed-end. It is closed at the bottom, so it suits trousers, skirts and bags, but not jackets.

Sewing it into jeans

Measure the opening before buying so that the length fits. Sew close to the teeth using a zip foot, and use a jeans needle with thick denim. The needle must not hit the metal teeth, otherwise it may break. Run the sewing machine slowly at this point, ideally by turning the handwheel.
