Prym wooden braiding disc – making friendship bracelets and bookmarks

With the Prym wooden braiding disc you can make friendship bracelets, bag handles, bookmarks or glasses cords. Up to seven threads can be braided into a cord in just a few steps. According to Prym, the disc is also intended for children.

The braiding disc measures Ø 80 mm x 15 mm and has a slot width of 1.5 mm. An elastic for temporarily securing the threads and instructions for use are included.

How to use it

Place the threads in the slots around the edge of the disc and secure them temporarily at the start with the elastic provided, so that nothing slips. The instructions in the pack show the individual braiding steps. Cut the threads to a generous length beforehand, as braiding makes the finished cord noticeably shorter than the original threads.

Which braiding disc suits your yarn?

With a slot width of 1.5 mm, this braiding disc is intended for fine threads, such as embroidery thread or fine cotton yarn. For thicker wool threads and leather cords, Prym offers the MAXI braiding disc with a 4 mm slot width and Ø 95 mm (art. no. 225137).
