End Cutting Pliers with Soft-Grip Handles – for Snipping Wire and Pulling Nails

End cutting pliers, also known as nippers or pincers, snip off wire and thin metal pins and pull out nails. They are suitable for the hobby workshop and for craft projects with wire.

The handles are blue and yellow and have a soft-grip covering. This is comfortable if you are snipping often or for longer periods.

Using the pliers

To snip, grip the wire as close to the cutting edges as possible and squeeze the handles firmly together. Use soft to medium-hard wire and thin metal pins. It is better not to cut hardened wire, as the cutting edges may chip. When snipping, hold a hand over the end of the wire or wear safety glasses, as cut pieces fly off.

Pulling out nails

Grip the nail directly under the head and tilt the pliers sideways over the edge. Place a flat piece of wood under the jaws so that the surface is not dented and you have more leverage. With a long nail, take a fresh grip once it has come out a little way.
