Prym Velours-Elastic 20 mm white – soft-sided elastic for straps and facings

Prym Velours-Elastic in white is a woven elastic with a soft side. You can use it to sew straps on bras, tops and similar garments, or as a facing. The elastic feels comfortable against the skin, keeps its shape when stretched and does not dig in. It is certified to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. This listing is for 1 m in a 20 mm width.

Prym offers Velours-Elastic in black and white and in several widths. At 20 mm, this elastic is narrower than the 25 mm version and suits straps or facings that should be less wide.

Using the elastic

Sew the elastic in so that the soft side lies against the skin. For straps, cut it to the length you want and attach it with a stretch stitch such as zigzag stitch, so that the seam does not break when worn. Check the length beforehand on yourself or on a test piece, because stretched elastic looks longer than when relaxed.
