Prym pressing cloth – protects delicate fabrics when ironing

You place the Prym pressing cloth (art. no. 611929) between the iron and the fabric when ironing. It protects delicate and printed fabrics from excessive heat and unwanted shine marks. The thin, loosely woven cloth is made of 100 % cotton and measures 45 × 50 cm. This also lets you press larger areas gently.

When damp, the cloth becomes transparent. You can see what you are pressing and can press seams and edges precisely. When steam ironing, the cotton absorbs the moisture and releases it downwards onto the fabric.

Using the pressing cloth

Lay the cloth flat over the area you want to iron and set the iron to suit the fabric. The cloth acts as a buffer between the soleplate and the fabric, so printed or delicate materials are less likely to show shine marks. For steaming, you can dampen the cloth lightly or work with steam. As it then becomes translucent, you can see seams, creases and edges and press them out precisely.
