Prym pompom maker set – make pompoms in 4 sizes

With the Prym pompom maker set (art. no. 624153) you can make pompoms in four sizes: 3.3 cm, 4.5 cm, 5.5 cm and 9 cm. The rings come in assorted colours. The pompoms decorate hats and scarves or can be turned into little yarn animals and soft toys.

Each ring is made up of four sturdy plastic parts that snap together. You do not need cardboard templates, and you can reuse the rings for more pompoms.

Making a pompom

Put two ring parts together to form a half ring. Then continue in this order:

• Wind yarn around both ring halves. The more densely you wind, the fuller the pompom will be.
• Snap the halves together at the connecting bars.
• Cut the yarn open along the groove between the ring discs.
• Pull a length of yarn tight in the groove and knot it.
• Remove the ring and trim the pompom to shape with scissors if needed.

Which size to choose

The small rings of 3.3 and 4.5 cm suit details, for example on animals or charms. With 5.5 cm and 9 cm you can make larger pompoms for hats and scarves.
