KnitPro Amour – 40 heart-shaped metal stitch markers

The KnitPro Amour stitch markers are 40 heart-shaped metal markers that you can use to mark the start of a round, pattern repeats, and increases and decreases in your knitting. The set contains the markers in two shades, so you can, for example, tell the start of the round apart from other points by colour.

The markers are magnetic and were designed for the magnetic KnitPro necklaces. They stay put there when you do not need them on the needle, and they also hold on other magnets. They are made of metal and are easy to slip off the needle and put back on.

Using the markers

Place the marker on the needle between two stitches when casting on or in the first round. On every round, slip it from the left needle to the right needle when you reach it. This way you can see the start of the round straight away.

• Start of round: use a marker in a different colour from the others
• Pattern repeats: place one marker between each repeat so you spot mistakes early
• Increases and decreases: mark the points where you increase or decrease at regular intervals
• With thicker needles, check beforehand whether the marker fits over the needle
