Prym Cone and Bobbin Holder – a steady thread supply for sewing machine and overlocker

The Prym cone and bobbin holder (art. no. 611769) takes large thread reels and cones, so you do not have to keep rethreading with new thread on bigger sewing projects. The base is made of cast iron, so it stands securely next to the machine. The fixing rod screws into the base. The thread guide carries the thread and maintains the thread tension. According to Prym, the holder is also suitable for overlockers.

Conical thread reels are shaped so that the thread unwinds cleanly even when you sew quickly. With the holder, the reel stays firmly in place and does not have to roll around in the sewing machine compartment or on the table.

Using the holder

Place the holder next to the sewing machine or overlocker, put the thread cone on the fixing rod and lead the thread through the thread guide. Then thread the machine as usual. The thread guide ensures that the thread is guided from the holder to the machine and that the thread tension is maintained. This is particularly useful for long seams, quilting and patchwork projects, or when you work a lot with the same thread colour.
