Prym iron-on polyester mending fabric in ecru – for repairing clothes

With Prym mending fabric (art. no. 929455) you can repair tears and holes in clothing made of polyester and lightweight fabrics. The piece is 100% polyester and measures 12 × 45 cm. You cut patches from it in the size you need, so one piece can mend several areas of damage. The adhesive coating makes it iron-on, and the light ecru colour suits light-coloured textiles. The patch may be washed up to 40 °C.

Applying the patch

Cut the patch slightly larger than the damage and round off the corners so it is less likely to peel off. Lay the fabric flat, place the patch adhesive side down over the damaged area and iron it on using a pressing cloth. Polyester is sensitive to too much heat, so follow the ironing instructions. On areas under heavy strain such as knees or elbows, add a few stitches around the patch after ironing it on.
