Stafil triangular magnetic bag clasp – nickel-plated for bags and clutch bags

The triangular magnetic clasp from Stafil fastens handbags, clutch bags and home-sewn bags with a strong magnet. The metal is nickel-plated and measures 55 × 27 mm. Its triangular shape makes the clasp a visible design feature on the bag flap.

You can use it for your own sewing projects, and also on restored bags.

Fitting tips

The magnet only holds securely if the fabric at the fixing point is stable. With thin fabrics, reinforce the area from the inside with interfacing or a piece of firm material so that the clasp does not tear out. Mark the position on the flap and the bag body beforehand with pins or chalk so that both halves meet exactly later on. At 55 × 27 mm, the clasp is clearly visible and suits bags with a flap better than very small pouches.
