The Fridolin 3D paper model Brachiosaurus is a craft model kit in which you assemble a dinosaur from laser-cut cardboard parts. It calls for concentration, patience and nimble fingers. Once built, it makes a decorative piece measuring approx. 18 × 13 × 4.5 cm (W/H/D).

The parts are laser-cut in detail from special cardboard, so you need no templates and have nothing to cut out. An illustration and the assembly instructions are included in the pack. Fridolin recommends the model from 8 years. As more animal models of this kind are available, you can gradually build up a small collection.

Assembling the model

Read the assembly instructions first and carefully release the parts from the cardboard so that the fine tabs do not tear. Start by slotting the parts together without glue, so you can see how they fit into each other. If you want the model to be firmly assembled, glue the joints, but the cardboard only tolerates glue applied sparingly. You can test how the glue behaves on an offcut beforehand.
