Prym iron-on transfer pencil, red – transfer embroidery designs with an iron

With the Prym iron-on transfer pencil (art. no. 611602), you transfer embroidery designs to fabric using tracing paper and an iron. The red lead twists out, the marking is washable and the pencil is suitable for natural textiles such as cotton and linen.

Instructions are included; they are also printed in German on the packaging.

Transferring a design

Never draw directly on the fabric, only on tracing paper. Here is how it works:

• Draw the design on the tracing paper with the pencil.
• So that the design does not come out mirror-reversed when ironed on, trace it again on the back of the tracing paper.
• Place the paper on the fabric with the final marking face down.
• Iron the pattern on, setting the iron to at least 2 dots.

Washable – but test first

According to Prym's instructions, the marking residue disappears after the first wash. Try the transfer on a scrap of fabric first, so you can see how colour and heat behave on your fabric.
