Hardicraft Brontosaurus Crochet Kit – Crochet an Amigurumi Dinosaur in Cotton Yarn

With the Hardicraft Brontosaurus crochet kit (art. no. HC-40SM080) you crochet a small amigurumi dinosaur to a design by Sylvia Molenaar. The kit contains yarn, safety eyes, toy stuffing and a pattern. All you need to add is a crochet hook and scissors.

According to the manufacturer, the finished brontosaurus is about 20 cm tall and 27 cm long. The yarn is 100% cotton. It is worked with a 2.5 mm crochet hook. The fine hook gives a dense fabric, so the stuffing does not show through later.

Making it up

Amigurumi are crocheted in separate parts and then assembled. Crochet firmly and evenly so the parts keep their shape and the stuffing does not push through the stitches. Insert the safety eyes before stuffing the relevant part, as you cannot reach them from the inside afterwards. Stuff the parts lightly but fully, especially the neck and legs, so the dinosaur stands well. You will find the exact sequence and stitch counts in the enclosed pattern.
