Willy Whale: knit an amigurumi whale, everything included except needles

With the Hardicraft Willy Whale knitting kit, you knit a small whale in amigurumi style. The kit contains the pattern, two marl yarns, safety eyes and toy stuffing. Only the knitting needles are needed in addition.

The yarn is marl in white and light blue, 50 g of each. This gives the whale a lively colour effect without any extra patterning. The pattern was designed by Christel Krukkert and is included in German, Dutch, English and French.

Everything you need to knit and finish the whale is included. This means you do not have to buy yarn or stuffing separately.

Knitting the whale

Amigurumi is usually knitted fairly tightly, so that the stuffing does not show through the stitches. Use the needle size given in the pattern. Insert the safety eyes before you stuff and close the piece, as you will no longer be able to reach the back afterwards. Stuff the whale in small portions so that the shape stays even and free of dents.
