The rattle insert is designed to be sewn into dolls and soft toys. With a diameter of 39 mm, it fits inside home-sewn teddies, soft toys or doll bodies. Your creations get a rattle sound without you having to attach a rattle on the outside.

Inserting the rattle insert

Plan for the rattle insert when cutting out, and place it where you want it, for example in the body or head, before you close the turning gap. To stop it shifting while you stuff the toy, you can sew it into a small fabric pouch and tack the pouch in place inside with a few stitches. Then close the opening carefully so the insert stays safely inside.
